About Us


Blue Hour Fusion Quartet are an instrumental fusion band based in Toronto, Canada. Their sound incorporates a variety of influences from jazz fusion and progressive rock, varying across their original compositions employing catchy guitar driven melodies, improvisation, and experimentation. The group features David Piluso on guitar, Tristan St-Pierre on keys, Damien De Oliveira on drums, and Russell Molina on bass.

Their debut album, ‘Blue Hour‘, was released in the summer of 2024, marking an exciting milestone for the band. This instrumental fusion record showcases their diverse influences and was developed over the course of the two years David and the band members pursued their studies in the Master of Arts in Music program at York University, with most of them also obtaining their bachelor’s degrees there.

Since its release, Blue Hour has garnered attention, receiving regular airplay on Canadian radio stations like JazzFM. At its peak, the album reached 1500 monthly listeners on Spotify and landed a spot on the first page of the Bandcamp charts for the jazz and fusion categories.

The group regularly performs across the Greater Toronto Area at venues including The Emmet Ray, DROM Taberna, Tapestry, Linsmore Tavern, among others.

Debut album

Blue Hour is the debut instrumental fusion record from Canadian guitarist David Piluso in collaboration with Damien De Oliveria and Tristan St-Pierre. The record takes influence from progressive rock and jazz fusion. The project spanned between 2022-2024 while working towards a Master of Arts in music composition from York University and was fully self-produced. The release has seen success through regular airplay on Canadian radio stations such as JazzFM, reaching 1500 monthly listeners on Spotify at its peak, and landing a place on the first page of the Bandcamp charts for the jazz and fusion genres.

Live Shows

The group performs around Toronto playing a mixture of originals, covers, and jazz standard, having performed at a variety of venues including DROM Taberna, Linsmore Tavern, Function Bar, and private events.

While primarily performing in a quartet setting, the group has also performed stripped down sets as a trio, or duo (guitars and keys).
