Gear

The gear I rely on to be creative and to make and play music. While I play equipment from various companies, I’m proud to be a Godin Guitars artist!

Godin Artisan TC WhiskeyBurst MN

Really glad to be a Godin artist and to be with a great Canadian company! My main Godin is the Artisan TC in Whiskey Burst MN. It’s a modern style tele with some great upgrades from other modern tele’s. It has a quilted maple top, roasted maple neck and fingerboard, and Fralin pickups.

Suhr Modern

My main guitar is my beautiful Suhr Modern in blue whale burst finish. This is a fairly unique model as it has a few differences from the regular production models.

Mesa Boogie JP-2C & 2×12 Vertical

My main rig consists of a Mesa Boogie JP-2C and a 2×12 vertical rectifier cab. This setup provides me with all the tones I need from super cleans, to high gain.

Fractal Audio AM4

My portable rig that I typically use for gigs and rehearsals. Much easier to carry around than my main rig. I use essentially a single preset that I’ve made on this unit to closely emulate my main Mesa Boogie rig.

Pedals

The first pedal on my board. Extremely accurate and responsive strobe tuner.

I use this pedal as a way to eliminate pick attack, cutting off the initial transient spike apparent when you pick a note. I don’t have it on all the time, but I love the effect. Inspired by Kurt Rosenwinkel, Tim Miller, and Allan Holdsworth.

This is a clean boost and compressor pedal that I commonly use with single or split coils when using a clean sound. It has a Neve transformer in it which adds some nice character.

This is my current boost pedal of choice. Sometimes I also alternate between my Xotic RC Booster and Wampler Dual Fusion.

First pedal in my FX loop. Nice sounding delay pedal, although I’m not too picky with FX.

Second pedal in my FX loop. Reverb when I need it.

Second pedal in my FX loop. Reverb when I need it.

Accessories

I’ve been using Dunlop’s Standaerd Flow picks for many years now and they’re my favourite sounding and feeling picks. I’ve switched gauges here and there but I always seem to come back to their 2mm picks.
